Barone made an appearance in the fourth season Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was also a part-time cast member of Carol & Company, starring alongside Carol Burnett in the early 1990s. Barone played Carol Willick Ross Geller's ex-wife at the time of her first Friends appearance. Her departure from the show was because she was looking for another full-time position. was taken over by Jane Sibbett. Barone was a guest in The Jeff Foxworthy Show in its first season (from 1995 until 1996) as well as in The War at Home between 2005 to the year 2007. Then, in 2000 Barone was also a co-star on her sitcom Daddio. Barone is also a part of Desperate housewives The Curb Your Enthuasm Show, Quantum Leap Empty Nest Chicago Hope Castle Do Not disturb Ally McBeal Caroline In The City Party of Five, The Larry Sanders Show and the show Desperately Housewives.
